Occultic;nine

A blog called “Kiri Kiri Basara,” with the purpose of disproving the occult, links nine unique individuals together. This is the basis of Occultic;Nine, a story that has generated a light novel series, an anime, and a visual novel.

Occultic;Nine started out as a light novel series, written by Chiyomaru Shikura. Its first volume was initially released in 2014, with two more volumes releasing in the following years, and a planned fourth volume. Occultic;Nine also received its own anime adaptation in 2016, and a visual novel adaptation in 2017.

Yuta Gamon, a self-proclaimed NEET teenager, and his enthusiastic best friend Ryoka Narusawa, co-run a blog called “Kiri Kiri Basara,” a blog dedicated to disproving the existence of the occult. Unbeknownst to them however, this blog will become the catalyst that brings together nine idiosyncratic individuals who supposedly have nothing to do with each other. This group will find themselves confronted with foreboding and supernatural events surrounding their hometown, and must band together to solve the mysteries interlacing the city and their lives.
