Robotics;Notes Dash

Robotics;Notes DaSH is the sequel to Robotics;Notes, developed by 5pb./MAGES. and Chiyomaru Studio. It was released on January 31, 2019 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It was released in English on October 13, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam alongside its prequel, Robotics;Notes Elite.

If you are playing the game on Steam, we recommend using this fan patch; it introduces many translation and quality-of-life improvements, such as mouse support.

The game was written by Tooru Yasumoto and Naotaka Hayashi, with story planning by Chiyomaru Shikura. The opening song to the game, titled “Avant Story,” was sung by Zwei, and the true ending song, “Even a person like me,” was sung by Kanako Itou. The normal ending song, titled “Trust,” was sung by Yumi Matsuzawa. Additionally, the game features an insert song titled “aNubis,” sung by Konomi Suzuki.

The story takes place half a year after the events of Robotics;Notes, in 2020. Kaito Yashio returns to the island of Tanegashima on vacation to reunite with his friends. On the same ferry he arrives on is Itaru Hashida, one of the main characters from Steins;Gate, who is also there to see the festival… or so he claims.

As Tanegashima prepares for a summer festival celebration, mayhem is about to go down, and it seems as though the young saviors of the world will need to step up to the plate once again…

Characters

Kaito Yashio

The once-addicted gamer has retired from his hobby of playing Kill-Ballad, choosing instead to focus on his studies. After the events of Robotics;Notes, Kaito moved to Kagoshima—in Robotics;Notes DaSH, he returns to Tanegashima for the festival.

Akiho Senomiya

After the events of the original game, Akiho has been in a somewhat strained relationship with Kaito. She currently works part-time at a restaurant in Tanegashima. Her love for robots remains as strong as ever.

Itaru Hashida

A mysterious newcomer who arrived at Tanegashima on the same ferry as Kaito. A self-proclaimed “perverted gentleman,” Itaru, aka Daru, came to the island to enjoy the festival… or so he says. Whatever could his true motives be?

Frau Koujiro

The genius creator behind Kill-Ballad is still an @channel lingo-slinging perverted programmer. When she and Daru interact, sparks will fly…

Junna Daitoku

After graduating, Junna acquired a job at the Space Candy company. Because of her overwhelming responsibilities toward her family and her job, she is constantly busy.

Airi Yukifune

The girl that underwent cold sleep for ten years has been freed, and she now lives with the Yashio family. Though she is technically 24, she still has the mind and body of a 14-year-old.

Subaru Hidaka

Subaru has largely recovered from the crippling injury he received during the events of of the original story. Because Akiho has graduated, Subaru is now the president of the Robotics Club.

Nae Tennouji

A young, enthusiastic worker at JAXA that’s helping out with the festival. Contrary to her childhood self, Nae is now quite familiar and friendly with Daru—she initially acts as a bridge between him and the cast.
