Steins;Gate Re:Boot, the upcoming remake of the original Steins;Gate visual novel, may be just on the horizon. In an operating results report shared by COLOPL yesterday, the company has reiterated their interest in releasing “a new [console] game to commemorate the 15th anniversary of ‘STEINS;GATE’ and expand the user base” within fiscal year 2025.
Fiscal year 2025 under COLOPL began on October 1, 2024 and is expected to end on September 30, 2025. This means September 30, 2025 is the final date by which Steins;Gate Re:Boot can release while still meeting COLOPL’s projections. As a reminder, COLOPL is the company under whom MAGES., Steins;Gate’s chief developer, operates as a wholly owned subsidiary.
(While COLOPL does not explicitly refer to Re:Boot by name in their forecast, it is the most likely candidate for a late-2025 release; the company similarly shared their intent to release the game in 2025 in a November 2024 report.)
