English publisher XSEED Games has announced the cancellation of the Western release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack, a MAGES.-developed collection that many fans of the series had been eagerly anticipating. The collection was originally revealed in August, when the publisher confirmed plans to bring four classic titles from the franchise to modern platforms.

According to XSEED’s new statement, several of the games included in the Tetralogy Pack were found to be noncompliant with current platform guidelines. These restrictions prevent the company from releasing the planned physical edition or the digital versions of the unreleased titles featured in the collection.
While the cancellation is disappointing for fans who were looking forward to experiencing the full set of classic titles, XSEED has reaffirmed its commitment to the future of the series. The publisher noted that it continues to work closely with MAGES. to bring Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion to the West, with additional details to come at a later date.
