The real-life locations of Chaos;Head

Welcome to Shibuya: one of Tokyo’s most iconic districts. Known for its neon lights, fashion, and the world-famous Scramble Crossing, Shibuya is more than just one of Tokyo’s many city districts—it’s the beating heart.

But for fans of Chaos;Head, Shibuya takes on a darker, more mysterious tone. After all, this is where the twisted events of the “New Generation Madness” went down. Scattered throughout Shibuya are locations that directly inspired key scenes in the visual novel, connecting the game’s story to real places you can walk through today.

In this video, we’ll guide you through the real locations that bring Chaos;Head’s story to life. Below the video, you will find a map with each location marked, link to download a .kml file so you can import it to your maps, and info  on how to get to each place.

Locations

Shibuya Station

Shibuya Station is served by the Yamanote Line, Saikyo Line, and the Shonan-Shinjuku Line. Additionally, it’s served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line, and Fukutoshin Line, as well as the Tokyu Toyoko Line and Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line. This extensive network makes Shibuya a key gateway for commuters and travelers across Tokyo and beyond.

Hachiko Square

Hachiko Square is a famous meeting spot near the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. The square features a bronze statue of Hachiko.

Exit the Shibuya station by the Hachiko exit, for an easy access.

Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Shibuya Scramble Crossing is one of the busiest and most famous pedestrian crossings in the world, located right outside Shibuya Station.

Use Hachiko Square exit from the Shibuya station for an easy access.

Q-Front

Called O-FRONT in the game, this is where Takumi goes to the top floor and seemingly tries to jump from the gap in the glass exterior of the building.

Kurenai Building

The building Takumi lives at the top of in a container. While the building itself does not actually exist, the in-game Kurenai building is located right where this street is.

Follow Dougen-Zaka street from the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, until a junction with Owada Yokocho street.

Shoto Junior High School

Takumi’s school, called Suimei Academy in game. 

Located 800 meters from the Shibuya station, in 1-chōme-20 Shōtō.

Shoto Park

The park where Takumi goes to eat breakfast before going to school.

Located in 2 Chome-10-7 in Shoto, about 700 meters from the Shibuya station.

Shinsen station

The station serves the Shinsen district. It is shown several times in the game, most notably as the place where Takumi fights Suwa before entering the railway tunnel toward the end of the game. 

You can walk there from the Shibuya station, as it is about 550 meters of following the Dougen-Zaka street. Alternatively you can take a Keio Inokashia Line train from Shibuya station, with Shinsen station being the next stop.

Street of the Crucified murder

Small and unassuming street. However, this is the location of the Crucified murder. 

Located on the Urashibuya street, only 200 meters from the Shinsen station.

Cerulean Tower

Called Cornelius Tower in the game. This is the location where the “Group Dive” murder took place. 

300 meters from the Shibuya station, use New South Exit for an easy access.

Cosmo Planetarium

Shown only briefly in the game from the outside. However, it is the secret location of Noah II and where the climax of the game takes place.

Located just next to the Cerulean Tower. 

Miyashita Park

Shown and mentioned several times during the game. 

Walk about 100 meters from the Shibuya station, use Miyamasuzaka exit from the Shibuya station for an easy access.

Yummy hand murder

The “Yummy hand” murder took place on the location of today’s Inari Bridge Square.

Use New South Exit from Shibuya station for an easy access.

DQN Puzzle murder

DQN Puzzle murder. The game only mentions that the murder took place along the train tracks in Shibuya, but Chaos;Child’s map places it on the Toyoko railway line.

Brain dead murder

Chaos;Head never specifies where the ´murder occurred—just that the victim was found on the street. According to Chaos;Child’s map, Harajuku station is the location.

JR Tokyo General Hospital

Called AH Tokyo General Hospital in-game. It is visited several times by Takumi and is also the place where Ban gets shot.
