The following article may contain spoilers for Steins;Gate.

We’re back with another SciADV Fan Showcase! We’re fast approaching the twelfth showcase, which will mark a year since we started this article series. Time sure flies, huh?

As always, here’s a link to last month’s fan showcase.

Magmyte – Steins;Gate fanart

Magmyte has created an impressive piece of artwork that symbolically depicts Okabe’s struggle during the events of Steins;Gate. On one hand, Okabe can choose to keep Mayuri alive and forever yearn to save Kurisu from her fate on the Beta Attractor Field. On the other hand, he can choose to save Kurisu and give up his eternal struggle to save Mayuri.

We found that the usage of the visual depiction of worldlines in the background of this piece was a nice touch, as well as the split between the two decisions being symbolized by the hands of a clock.

Magmyte’s Twitter account can be found here. Be sure to check them out, they’ve done plenty of awesome art for other series as well!

comfy_cal – Steins;Gate pixel art

comfy_cal has created some very cute pixel art of the Lab Mems in Steins;Gate. Though it can be difficult to depict detail due to the basic nature of pixel art, comfy_cal used their skills wisely to create depictions of the Lab Mems that is both unique and pleasing to the eye.

We especially liked the inclusion of the “The World is in Danger!” omelette on Faris’ depiction, which makes it clear that the artist paid much attention to detail.

SirEnzoYLL – Steins;Gate / Chaos;Child 3D model art

SirEnzoYLL has created some awesome 3D art that combines elements from Steins;Gate and the Chaos; series. In the first piece, Kurisu is seen standing against a wall covered with Sumo Stickers, while her immediate surroundings include elements such as the Rorschach Test and the Ir2 equation. The second piece features Takuru and Serika standing in the streets of Shibuya, an ominously cracked sky overhead.

The attention to detail in these pieces are phenomenal—for example, one can see that the sky in the second piece is partially composed of awakened Sumo Stickers.

SirEnzoYLL’s Twitter account can be found here. They’ve done 3D art for other games, so be sure to check out their work!

That’ll be it for this month’s showcase. Tune in next time for more fan content!
