Announced today via its official website, a new entry in MAGES.’ long-running romance visual novel series, Memories Off, is currently in development. Titled “Memories Off Sousou ～Not always true～,” it is expected to release in 2024 in Japan, commemorating the series’ overall 25th anniversary.
Three staff members on ~Not always true~’s development team are confirmed: Naotaka Hayashi as scenario writer, Takeshi Abo as composer, and Mutsumi Sasaki as character designer. Fans may recognize these staff as longtime contributors to both the Science Adventure and Memories Off series.
MAGES. has additionally shared a series history page, detailing the various Memories Off games released since 1999. To date, no Memories Off title has received an official English localization since its inception; however, a 2021 series collection, titled “Memories Off Historia,” did bring the first seven Memories Off games to modern platforms in Japan.
