Makoto Asada appointed as MAGES. president and CEO

As shared Monday by gamebiz, former MAGES. company director Makoto Asada has been promoted to president and CEO; his predecessor, Kengo Honjo, retired from the role as of the expiration of his term on December 31, 2024.

Also of note, Michiko Koyanagi and Yoshiaki Harai have retired from their roles as company directors, while Hirotaka Kawai, Yoichi Ikeda, and Kazunobu Takita have assumed company director roles, the latter two in part-time capacities. Gamebiz adds that Takanori Nishikawa, previously a special advisor for the company, is no longer listed among the executives and may have retired.

Readers will recall that Makoto Asada has often shared insight into MAGES.’ future endeavors on recent occasions (March 2023, December 2023). In December 2024, Asada also reaffirmed that Steins;Gate RE:BOOT is currently “in active production,” while Memories Off Sousou is expected to launch in April 2025.
