Love Chu☆Chu Double Pack Store-Specific Pre-order Bonuses
MAGES. has unveiled a complete list of store-specific pre-order bonuses for the Love Chu☆Chu Double Pack. These bonuses are tied to each retailer and can be obtained by pre-ordering the limited or regular version of the game. Only Sofmap offers bonuses that are exclusive to the limited edition.
The limited edition of the game includes a copy of the title, a poster featuring an original illustration by Mutsumi Sasaki, and a DVD containing all Chaos; series soundtracks. The first production batch of the limited edition also comes with a special DLC that allows players to change the Chaos;Head heroines’ outfits to underwear.
Steins;Gate Photo Exhibition
Shosen Book Tower — a well-known bookstore in Akihabara — hosted a special Steins;Gate event from October 15 to 22, showcasing artwork from the game and photographs of real-life Akihabara locations. The exhibition also displayed older merchandise, game boxes, and a large monitor designed after Okabe’s phone from Steins;Gate 0, which displayed the Amadeus app.
Exclusive merchandise was available both on-site and online, including T-shirts, acrylic stands, posters, and more. A full list of the exhibition’s items can be found here.
The exhibition attracted many fans, celebrating Akihabara’s connection to the series’ real-world setting, and was well received by visitors.
MAGES. Releases a Learning Game to Help Study English
On October 23, MAGES. released a new educational title for Nintendo Switch titled Step Up with Daily Study: TOEIC L&R Test, aimed at helping players prepare for the TOEIC English certification exam — an international standardized test of English proficiency for non-native speakers. The game development was supervised by Obunsha, a well-known Japanese publisher of educational materials, to ensure the highest possible quality of the learning materials.
While reviews are still fresh, the Japanese audience has praised the game for the quality of its learning content and the creativity and interactivity of its lessons. Although not directly related to the SciADV series, it shows that MAGES. isn’t afraid to experiment with new genres.
Corpse Party: Tetralogy Pack English Localization Potentially Canceled
Two months ago, we reported that publisher XSEED Games had announced plans to release MAGES.’ Corpse Party: Tetralogy Pack for Nintendo Switch in English later this year. However, on October 17, XSEED Games tweeted that they had encountered unexpected complications with the title that could prevent its release.
As a precaution, physical pre-orders have been paused, and no further details have been provided yet. For now, the game’s future remains uncertain.
