MAGES. has released a new one-minute gameplay trailer showcasing the intro section of Steins;Gate Re:Boot. Spike Chunsoft, Inc. has also published the English version of this trailer, which you can watch here:
The gameplay trailer depicts a scene between Mayuri and Rintaro, giving us a first look at the game’s 2.5D character sprite animations, like those used in Anonymous;Code, which introduces more fluidity and expressiveness for the cast. The game’s backgrounds are also greatly detailed, aiming to recreate 2010s Akihabara with greater realism than ever before. A new sequence for world line changes is also shown at the end of the footage, complete with an updated divergence meter.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot is scheduled for release in 2026 in Japanese, English, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese. You can wishlist the game now on Steam.
