Spike Chunsoft has announced its official panel for Anime Expo 2026, featuring several notable guests from across the company’s portfolio, including Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka, Danganronpa 2×2 producer Shohei Sakakibara, members of the game’s English voice cast, and a special presentation focused on Steins;Gate Re:Boot. The panel will take place on July 3, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM at the Diamond Ballroom in the JW Marriott Los Angeles.
According to Spike Chunsoft, the event will celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the Danganronpa series while also offering attendees an early look at Steins;Gate Re:Boot. With the game’s English release currently scheduled for August 20, 2026, the panel could provide one of the final opportunities for Spike Chunsoft to showcase the remake before its launch.
The panel will feature appearances from Shohei Sakakibara, producer of the upcoming Danganronpa 2×2, and Kazutaka Kodaka, the original scenario writer and creator of the Danganronpa series. Kodaka’s work helped establish the franchise as one of Spike Chunsoft’s most recognizable properties, spawning multiple games, anime adaptations, and stage productions. Fans attending Anime Expo will also have two opportunities to meet Shohei Sakakibara and Kazutaka Kodaka during dedicated autograph sessions.
Joining them will be several members of the English voice cast from Danganronpa 2×2: Brian Beacock (Monokuma), Johnny Yong Bosch (Hajime Hinata), Bryce Papenbrook (Nagito Komaeda), and Christine Marie Cabanos (Chiaki Nanami).
Spike Chunsoft has not yet revealed the exact contents of the Danganronpa portion of the panel, though the presence of both creators and voice actors suggests fans can likely expect discussion surrounding the franchise’s fifteenth anniversary celebrations and the newly announced title.
Anime Expo 2026 will be held in Los Angeles from July 2–5, with Spike Chunsoft’s panel taking place on the convention’s second day.
