Celebrations of Steins;Gate’s tenth anniversary are far from over, it seems: a new Amazon Japan listing has confirmed that an album celebrating the Steins;Gate main theme “Gate of Steiner” and its various arrangements will be released on March 18, 2020 in Japan.
According to the listing, this release will contain a grand total of 52 music tracks across two discs, with each track being related to series composer Takeshi Abo’s original Gate of Steiner theme in some way. Among these tracks are the original theme itself, a number of tracks from the Steins;Gate games and anime that utilize the Gate of Steiner motif, several retro-themed remixes created by Takeshi Abo, a remix of the theme used in Robotics;Notes DaSH, and a brand new tenth anniversary remix produced for the album.
Takeshi Abo has been known to remix his own compositions on his first and second SoundCloud accounts, and among these remixes are “GATE OF STEINER 2A03” and “GATE OF STEINER PRO-68k“—the release of this album will mark the first official distribution debut of these remixes.
