Over Sky End

This is the Common Route ending. Aside from one bad ending in Chapter 4, you’re locked onto this route on your first playthrough. You are free to select any delusions that you wish to see on this playthrough.

Do your best to complete the prompts at the clubroom’s map correctly, but be especially careful not to make a mistake on Chapter 4’s prompt—answering incorrectly twice on that prompt will lead you to a bad ending that is better experienced after finishing Common Route.

You need to complete this ending in order to be able to access any other routes, as well as the True Ending. If you want to re-read Common Route after your first playthrough, do not select any positive delusions throughout the story after starting a new game.

Dark Sky End

To reach it, select all positive and additional delusions from a new game, including the ones on the route itself. This route will begin after the end of Chapter 6.

The boxes below identify the route-setting choices from the walkthrough scheme. Other Delusion Triggers may be skipped once you have already viewed them.

Deep Sky End

To reach this route, select all positive and additional delusions, except for the delusion in Chapter 3 where you’re alone with Hinae preparing for the culture festival. This route will begin at the end of Chapter 6.

In order to get this route’s good ending, you will need to correctly place pins in a mapping segment which is untranslated as of this guide’s publication. The previously mentioned fan-improvement patch fixes the untranslated map issue. We have also attached an image below which depicts where the pins should be placed.

Correct pin placement for the Deep Sky route mapping segment
Thanks to ItsRigs’ guide and Seiya-Saiga for the image.

Dream Sky End / Another Sky End

These routes are interchangeable in order. Do whichever you feel like first.

To reach the Dream Sky End, you will need to select all negative delusions from the start of the game, except for the delusion that occurs after you leave the hospital in Chapter 5 in Kunosato’s home. You must choose positive delusion.

If you selected all delusions correctly, the end of Chapter 8 plays slightly differently. You will get an extra Delusion Trigger, which you need to select positive to enter the route’s chapter.

Dream Sky End

To complete the Dream Sky End, choose the positive delusion while at Takuru’s home and positive again at the delusion in the café.

Another Sky End

To reach the Another Sky End, begin by completing the Dream Sky End requisites. This time, choose negative while at Takuru’s home, and select positive while at the café.

Real Sky End

To reach this ending, you will need to select all the positive delusions, as well as any “additional” delusions you see with two exceptions in Chapter 3:

  1. The delusion in which you are alone with Hinae in preparation for the Cultural Festival.
  2. The delusion where you’re sleeping in the club room before the Cultural Festival.

The route will begin at the end of Chapter 9.

Silent Sky End (True Ending)

Upon completing all other principal endings, an option to begin the True Ending will be made available on the title screen.

Bad Endings

Chaos;Child contains a few bad endings, though none are required to achieve the True Ending. The following sections will show you how to view every obtainable bad ending.

Common Route Bad End

In Chapter 4, when you have to choose options for the map, select both of the incorrect options. Be warned that if you attempt to do this before finishing Common Route, an incomplete version of the ending is shown.

Dark Sky Bad End

Have all negative delusions while on this route. This ending is largely the same as the main ending of the route, aside from a few missing scenes near the end.

Deep Sky Bad End

Simply choose the wrong locations on the route’s map.

Dream Sky Bad Ending 1

Choose the negative delusion in the Delusion Trigger shown right before the chapter’s title card.

Dream Sky Bad Ending 2

Choose the negative delusion while at the café.

Dream Sky Bad Ending 3

Do not choose a delusion at the café. Neutral choices are not part of the positive/negative tracker.

Dream Sky Bad Ending 4

Choose positive before the chapter’s title card, neutral at Takuru’s home, and positive at the café.

Achievement Cleanup

After all of the above has been completed, you might still be missing a few delusions and achievements.

Positive and Negative Delusions

Use the chapter-by-chapter checklist below to view every positive and negative Delusion Trigger. Green boxes track positive delusions and red boxes track negative delusions. The route boxes above are synchronized with this checklist.

When an additional Delusion Trigger follows the initial scene in Chapters 1, 3, or 7, continue through the full sequence. In Chapter 5, be sure to choose negative after leaving the hospital. In the Real Sky route, view both versions of its single trigger.

Mapping Triggers

There are two achievements related to the Mapping Triggers. Complete every Mapping Trigger in Common Route without any mistakes for the first achievement. For the second, make twenty incorrect Mapping Trigger selections; the mistakes can be accumulated on a separate run.

Final Collection Achievements

Read every TIPS entry—or mark all of them as read—to complete the TIPS list. Viewing every route, ending, and positive and negative delusion should also fill the event CG and sound collections.

You have completed every achievement, reached all 14 obtainable endings, and viewed every positive and negative Delusion Trigger. Congratulations on completing Chaos;Child!

There are two achievements related to the map triggers. The first is unlocked by completing every single map trigger in Common Route without any mistakes.

The second is unlocked by making ten consecutive mistakes.

There is an achievement for reading every tip. Read through them or mark them all as read to unlock the achievement.
