Chaos;Head NoAH and Chaos;Child to receive dual Nintendo Switch release on February 24, 2022

MAGES. has revealed a new trailer for the previously announced Chaos; series dual pack, which is now confirmed for a February 24, 2022 release on the Nintendo Switch in Japan.

The trailer in question can be viewed below, though a word of warning may be in order: it does utilize some spoiler imagery from both Chaos;Head NoAH and Chaos;Child. The imagery from Chaos;Head NoAH flashes by relatively quickly, while the imagery from Chaos;Child is shown more blatantly.

An official website for the release—again, spoiler warning—has also been revealed. As noted by it, this release will serve as Chaos;Head NoAH’s first-ever full-HD, 1080p release, with both in-game graphics and opening movies being remastered for the occasion.

The page also briefly notes that Chaos;Head NoAH will be running on MAGES.’ own engine, which a first for the game—previous Chaos;Head releases ran on engines such as the Nitroplus System 2.0 and âge’s rUGP.

A now-removed graphics comparison between previous releases and the new release. This shot in particular comes from the opening movie "Find the Blue."
The updated graphics comparison; this one showcases the quality difference in a game CG.

Buyers who purchase the day-one edition of the game will also gain access to the “Sexy Patch”—presumably similar to the Lingerie Conversion System of some of Chaos;Head’s previous releases, this feature will likely allow players to optionally view the female characters of Chaos;Head NoAH in their underwear throughout the story.

Though a placeholder image is all that’s available right now, the trailer’s description notes that the collection’s official cover art, illustrated by the Chaos; series’ character artist Mutsumi Sasaki, will be revealed at a later date.

In terms of preorder bonuses, Chaos;Child-themed tapestries, microfiber towels, clear file folders, and commuter pass holders are being offered depending on the retailer the buyer preorders from.

Last but not least is the collection’s pricing:

  • The physical edition of the collection will be available at 7,480 yen (roughly $65 USD).
  • The digital edition of the collection will be available at 6,380 yen (roughly $55 USD).
  • Those who wish to purchase the games individually will be able to do so digitally at 3,300 yen each (roughly $29 USD each).

No word has been provided on any potential ports to Steam or PlayStation consoles; an official localization has not been announced, either.
