MAGES. and D-techno recently released their collaboration project, a Steins;Gate alarm clock app featuring Kurisu Makise (voiced by Asami Imai). The app allows the user to set alarms for themselves, and be awakened by Kurisu’s voice. The app is priced at 960 yen, and features several new illustrations of Kurisu.
The user is rewarded for stopping their alarm clock on time, by means of “stamps”. Collecting stamps will allow the user to unlock new Kurisu illustrations. The app also features several other functions besides the alarm—one feature has Kurisu singing lullabies and counting sheep for the user, to aid with falling asleep.
The app’s developers, D-techno, have previously developed similar alarm apps for series such as Fate and Non Non Biyori. It’s worth noting that a few of these alarm apps have been localized for English-speaking audiences in the past.
