Following Steins;Gate’s collaboration with Revue Starlight, it was revealed on Twitter that the next official collaboration would be with the popular mobile gacha game, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Mei. For those unaware, Higurashi Mei is a mobile gacha game released as a part of the Higurashi: When They Cry series, which is the first installment in the When They Cry franchise. The event is slated to begin on June 25, 2021.

The trailer features three of the lab members from Steins;Gate: Rintaro Okabe, Kurisu Makise, and Luka Urushibara, as well as several characters from the Higurashi: When They Cry franchise, such as Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou. All of the voice actors for each respective character have returned to reprise their roles.
