Studio OZON, a company focused on creating and assisting in the creation of murder-mystery games, books, and other projects, announced their involvement in the creation of a Steins;Gate murder-mystery project on December 14, 2021.
The announcement notes that three other parties—the board-game producer and café-holder Joldeeno, the murder-mystery game creator @Junkie_werewolf, and the murder-mystery game creator group Office KUMOKANA—will also be involved in the development of this project.
Specific details on this project are not yet available; notably, however, similar projects connected to Higurashi: When They Cry and Umineko: When They Cry were produced by Studio OZON and Joldeeno earlier this year. These projects took the form of role-playing games played in person, wherein players assumed the roles of the games’ characters and attempted to reason out answers to overarching mysteries presented through the given story script.
