Chaos;Head NoAH Steam release canceled, Spike Chunsoft confirms; publisher looking into alternative storefronts

Spike Chunsoft, Inc. has confirmed today via their website that the previously announced Steam release of Chaos;Head NoAH has been canceled, putting to rest prior rumors suggesting the release had been barred from the platform.

The publisher cites “Steam’s guideline-required changes to the game’s content” as the reasoning behind this cancellation, noting their belief that “these changes would not allow the game to be released to [Spike Chunsoft, Inc.’s] standards.”

Of some consolation, the publisher has confirmed that they are seeking out alternative storefronts through which to release the PC version of the game, with the intent of releasing a formal announcement when details have been decided. Moreover, the game is still expected to release next week on the Nintendo Switch as planned.

We will strive to keep you updated as further developments arise on this matter.
