Anonymous;Code English release to feature exclusive, English-language opening song

Correction: The English opening song was initially revealed in March’s voiceover trailer. This panel marked its first premiere.

Premiered today via the Spike Chunsoft, Inc.’s Anime Expo 2023 panel, Anonymous;Code’s upcoming English localization will feature an exclusive, full-English-lyric opening song. Panelists also confirmed the original Japanese song will still be available in the localized release under the Japanese voice language option.

The song is an English-language variant of the Japanese release’s own song. It is sung by artist Kanako Ito, with music and lyrics composed by Chiyomaru Shikura; it has been arranged by Mine Kushita, with lyric translation by Lynne Hobday.

Also shared at the panel was a special video message from producer Tatsuya Matsubara, wherein he shares that the production staff is looking forward to the Western audience enjoying the upcoming release.

Readers may recall that a portion of this English opening song variant was discovered as an easter egg in the Japanese release last year.

Anonymous;Code’s English localization is expected to launch on September 8, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. For related coverage, check out our Anonymous;Code category.
