Announced today via Famitsu, the Japan Anniversary Association has formally designated July 28—the day on which Steins;Gate’s fictional story begins—as “Steins;Gate Day.”

With this announcement, Steins;Gate has joined a wide variety of other Japanese cultural icons recognized on particular days of the year. January 31, for instance, is designated as “Final Fantasy VII Day.”
