The republished website confirms the previously leaked release schedule for the English version of the game. According to the official page, Steins;Gate Re:Boot will release on August 20, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and Steam, matching the Japanese release date. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 versions are scheduled for October 29, 2026.
Interestingly, the Japanese website mentions also a PlayStation 4 version, which no longer appears on the republished English website, suggesting the version may have been quietly cancelled or removed from western release plans.
The English website also confirms that physical editions will only be available for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. This could explain the delayed release for those platforms, as Xbox and Steam versions appear to be digital-only. Pre-orders are now available through participating retailers.
Steins;Gate Re:Boot was originally announced in October 2024 as a full remake of the original Steins;Gate, featuring renewed graphics, updated character artwork by huke, and additional story content. The title was initially planned for a 2025 release before being delayed to 2026.
